Stack Overflow did their annual developer survey, looking at how much different kinds of computer developers get paid. While most of it is probably not relevant to this course, there was one (slightly scary) takeaway: there is big money these days if you know how to work big data.
Perhaps no surprise, but relevant nonetheless to some of our discussions.
