    As near as I can tell, from my experience on Twitch, there are three main reasons that people post and/or stream gameplay videos:

    Just for fun (i.e., as a hobby);
    To raise money for charity; or,
    For personal profit (e.g., via YouTube ads, Twitch Partner, etc.).

    At least under Canadian law, my reading of s. 29.21 of the Copyright Act seems to imply that the last-mentioned of those three would be treated differently in terms of fair dealing.
